They cut hair for cheap. Some employees do a better job than others.

So for you ladies who have African American hair, or a mixed combination that need your hair relaxed or touched up, just go buy a relaxer at a beauty supply store, and do it yourself. Never go here at Hair Cuttery, and get it done. Don't waste all that money.

Glad to have the oportunity to finally type this review. Back in 2012, I needed my hair roots relaxed. The natural hair texture (curly/wavy) was growing out. So this young woman, looked like in her early to mid 20s, had NO FREAKIN' IDEA, what she was doing! Then she started wrapping my hair, and in my mind I was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I wanted to take it out on her, but didn't want to make a scene. Even one of the older hairstylists, who has been working there for years, pointed out what she was doing, wasn't right. Anyone who is familiar with African American hair KNOWS, that you don't need a wrap to relax your roots. All you need to do is touch up the roots with relaxer cream, wait 20-30 mins. wash/condition hair, bow-dry/style, DONE. Next time, I will talk up, if it happens again. Then the chick gave me a smirk, as I left the store, acting like she didn't do anything wrong. I would've smacked her silly, just to be honest. Then I'll give her something to smirk about.

Now, I relax my own roots. It's cheaper, and I don't go to relax my roots at Hair Cuttery anymore. I would probably though, get it styled for a special occassion. But that's about it.

Been going to Sima for years and she always does a great job.

I have gotten good hair cuts there. I don't know about their other services. There is a frequent turnover of stylists there so if there is one you like, he/she may not be there next time you go.

they messed up my fade they did half and left the rest.

To anyone who reads this: ALWAYS TALK UP. Don't be afraid to tell the hairstylist on what they are doing wrong.
